Beatview

Beatview was a prototype project created as an online magazine that highlights electronic and ‘dubstep’ music artists. The goal of this project was to provide electronic music lovers with an exclusive glance into the minds of their favorite artists. Beatview was intended to inspire other artists and connect fans. The landing page centered around the artist, their music, and the interview. This was how we developed the visual hierarchy. The artist image was important in setting the tone for the page. The next priority was to capture the viewer with the audio. This helps bounce rate by appealing to multiple senses. Readable typography was paramount and intended to clearly portray and communicate the essence of the interview. We did this by incorporating images throughout the post similar to a print magazine. Overall this was an entertaining project that challenged the team to solve UI problems in a new and fresh way.
